I received these games from Super Duper Publications. All thoughts are my own.
While I have not homeschooled my kids, I did kind of did a home school of types when they were little. I believed in teaching them as much as possible and always enriching what they would learn in either preschool or in elementary school. But I also know that my kids learn best when learning comes in the form on play or hands on activities.
So we play a lot of games. Over the years we have bought a lot of learning games and made quite a few of our own. So when we were able to review some of the learning games from Super Duper Publications, I was very excited. These games are education based but still over lots of fun. Many of these games are games that would be found in early education/ early elementary classroom.
We received Hopping Frogs® Language Game, Go For The Dough® Board Game, Photo Fish Classifying Magnetic Game, MagneTalk® Telling Time Game, and MagneTalk® Yogarilla® Exercises Game. The girls and I were thrilled to be adding these to our collection of games during the holidays and winter months when spend a lot time indoors because of the cold.
The Hopping Frogs® Language Game will help kids learn how to get those pesky phonic sounds. There are fun cards to ask the kids questions. The kids answer the questions and if they get it right, including the key sounds, they get a jumping frog on their lilly pad. All kids love these frogs.
Go For The Dough® Board Game is a fun game that is great for many ages. This is one that can work for kids as young as Willow, age four and Serenity age 10. It helps with word meaning. Kids head around the board game earning bucks. To get the bucks they have to get the right words. All of the kids get a category, they can share or have different ones, like opposites or different meaning. Trying to come up with the different choices can leave the kids in a fit of giggles.
Photo Fish Classifying Magnetic Game is a fun fishing game where the kids are trying to catch the fish in their category. It is design to teach the kids how to classify items. They will never know that is what they are trying to do because they only know they are trying to catch a fish on a magnetic hook.
My girls’ favorite 2 games are MagneTalk® Telling Time Game and MagneTalk® Yogarilla® Exercises Game. Serenity has been getting very into yoga over the past few months. With MagneTalk® Yogarilla® Exercises Game she gets to learn the different yoga moves in a fun way that makes it stick. And there are 2 different ways to play. The kids can pick up a card and try to remember the move, if they win, they get the reinforcement tile or they can pick a tile up and do the move. If the other child can name the move, they get the reinforcement tile.
Willow has been learning about time and when certain things fall during the day. So she has been loving the MagneTalk® Telling Time Game. It comes with a clock face, a red and blue hand to help tell the difference between the 2, the numbers for around the clock and then also the words and different events for the day. It also has the times in words to help kids see the numbers in words.
You can also get sun stocking stuffers or classroom goodies like tongue twister pencils. I think my daughter has practiced every single twister over and over again until she has gotten them perfect so that she can seem like an expect

I need that clock game! I recently started trying to teach my daughter how to tell time, and it has not gone well. A game would be a great motivator.

We have a game night with the kids and it is hard sometime to find games that our youngest can play where the teens are not totally bored to death. These look like fun. Thanks for the ideas.
