Chicago is such an amazing city, so finding things to do isn’t hard. Zeigler Chrysler Dodge wants you to enjoy the city with your kids and not break the bank. There are plenty of free things to do in Chicago with kids, but these are just a few.

Going to be in Chicago Who says you have to spend a lot of money to have fun. Here is a list of free things to do in Chicago.

Navy Pier – You can check this little slice of heaven out and have a great time with the kids. It is now open and there is so much to do. The pier is free and open to the public and you can take a ride in the two-sided car that is air conditioned to see the sights overhead.

Merry Music Makers – You can get a free demo class where the kids can learn all about music. Even better, if you decide that you love the music program, siblings get in free with a paid class.

Adams Playground Park – This is a super toddler friendly spot that you can take the little ones. The sandbox is open all the time but the water/splash pad is what really makes it amazing for the summer months.

There are FREE days at multiple museums in the area, too. The Art Institute, Shedd Aquarium, The Field Museum, Adler Planetarium, and The Museum of Science and Industry all offer free days (just keep in mind that the special exhibits would be off limits as these are for general admissions).

Lego Store – On the first Tuesday of the month kids can learn how to build a mini model and take it home for free.

Chicago Firehouse – There is nothing quite like taking a child to go and see a firehouse. Chicago has some great ones including the West Loop that has Engine Co. 103 and the famous Freckles the dog. The kids will love it!

Lincoln Park Zoo – It’s free as long as you don’t bring your own vehicle. Take some public transportation or walk over to make this amazing zoo free. Otherwise you have to pay parking.

There are so many amazing things to see and do in Chicago. Kids will enjoy getting to see the sights of the city as well as get in some play. Mom and Dad can get some relaxation too while getting to see their children enjoy building and making memories in the windy city.
