Hapari Swimsuit Review

I have always loved the summer. You can pretty much find us at the beach, lake or pool on any given day of the summer. This year, we will also be sending a lot of time at Sesame Place, which is full of water rides. And for all of those, I need a bathing suit. One things I hate to buy the most. I have such a hard time finding ones I like, that look good on my frame, and since I am not a “little” girl, that doesn’t show too much but is still appropriate.

Sadly, my old bathing suit bit the dust. I mean, kind of literally. Last summer, at the beach, to my horror, I noticed I could actually see through the netting of it. Not what you want to have happen, on vacation, in a place that only sells itty bitty teeny tiny yellow polka dot bikinis. So I made it through vacation, but knew, it was time to get a new suit.

I haven’t worn a traditional 2 piece in many many years. But I do like the tankinis. I think they are comfortable and stylish, pretty much no matter of  your size. This year, I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and do something a little different. I still decided on a tankini, but I wanted something bold, and bright, and something that I knew would help encourage me to be proud, happy, not so self conscious being in my bathing suit.

When I saw the Drawstring Leilani Tankini Top, I absolutely fell in love. I loved everything about it. The color, the design, everything. Then I saw that the cinching in the belly is supposed to help camouflage and slim. SCORE!

When the bathing suit came and I tried it on, I was thrilled. I loved the way it fit, and it really did make my tummy look smaller. The top can be worn in 2 styles, as a halter and tied around the neck. And I can pull the top down, into a dress, for a little extra coverage.

This year, instead of my normal go-to bottoms of shots, I decided to go with a traditional bottom. The Hapari bathing suit bottoms offer tummy control and full coverage. And if I get a little anxious, I can always throw a nice sarong on.

Hapri offer plus size bathing suits, as well as the smaller sizes. Many of the takinis are offered in both sizes, so there is a bathing suit that will be perfect for anyone.

I have to say, I think I might be able to rock this bathing suit as we spend the summer outside.
