Scooters are fun and they don't stop being fun just because you outgrown the ones made for teens. Scooters can be one of the fastest ways to travel distances that are less than a mile, of course not including cars or bikes. Walking a half mile on a level area can take 10 minutes for an adult who is reasonably fit. With a kick scooter, that same distance can be covered in 3 minutes. It might not seem like a big deal, but for someone who travels that distance often, it can add up to several hours a week. While bikes are definitely faster, the bikes are also way more cumbersome to lug around and it requires locking and unlocking the bike outside.
Xooter scooter has reinvented the scooter. It is a sweet ride. I mean, the same ream that designs race cars designed the Xooter. The industrial design of the Xootr was done by Lunar Design, one of the five most award winning design firms in the country. It has ultra-glide polyurethane tires that run on nearly frictionless bearings. That means that the wheels give the Xooter the lowest rolling resistance of any small-wheeled vehicle. The wheels have been optimized for quick, yet stable handling. The Xooter is small and compact when it is in its folded configuration in only a few seconds. It can be stored in the trunk of a car, under a desk or in a locker. It can even easily sit behind a door.
Thanks to the superior wheels, the rider doesn't have to spend all of their time kicking the scooter forward. It has a kick and cruise design. Plus, Xooter is deisnged for actual adult feet. The decks are wide enough for 2 adult feet to sit side by side when cruising. The deck is is long enough to have both feet on the deck when standing goofy-style.
While the Xooter was orginally designed for college students it is now used by many. The customers include: middle school youth, commuters, senior citizens who view the Xootr as a nostalgic reminder of their youth, manufacturing engineers in factories, urban dwellers who use the scooter as their primary mode of transportation, and families that stow a pair of Xootr scooters in their boat or RV.
The Xootr is basically crafted of solid aluminum and magnesium and then carefully assembled by hand right here in Old Forge, Pennsylvania.
