Make sure the water is ice cold. I like to get it from the refrigerator when making this recipe. Otherwise the oat milk can be slimy.
Add all of the ingredients and blend it for 30 seconds up to 60 seconds. Do not over blend it. To make the basic oat milk, you only need the oats and water. The other ingredients are optional, but I love the way it enhances the taste.
Use a strainer of some sort or cheesecloth to strain the milk from the pulp.
Store in the refrigerator.
