Easy Fluffy Slime Recipe

I have seen some fluffy slime recipes that use contact saline solution and baking soda. I have even some made with laundry detergent. I do not like using the contact lens solution because you have to make sure you are using a certain kind and I don’t want to waste money getting the correct kind. I always have the liquid starch on hand since we make a lot of slime.

Is This Slime Non-Toxic?

While it is not taste-safe, it is non-toxic. It does not use things like boric acid, which was making children sick. I make sure all of the ingredients in my slime is safe for kids to play with.

How Long Does Slime Last?

We only keep our slime for about 2 weeks. I have heard of some people who keep their slime longer than that but I have found that the slime gets too sticky for the to play with and it tends to get everywhere. While the slime is easy to clean up using vinegar, even out of carpets, I don’t want to have to clean it so the kids play with it at the table, in the kitchen or outside and we get rid of it once it gets too sticky.

Fluffy Slime Ingredients

• Elmer’s white school glue
• Starch
• Shaving cream
• Food coloring

How to make Fluffy Slime Recipe

Add the white glue to a mixing bowl.

Add the starch and mix the 2 together well.

Slowly add in the shaving cream to get the consistency you are looking for.

Add in the food coloring of your choice. We like to make a bright colored slime, which requires more food coloring.
