How Long Does it Take to Make Homemade Dinner Rolls

Thanks to the Fleischmann’s® RapidRise® Yeast, it only takes 40 minutes to make the rolls. This includes the 10 minute rise times. It only takes 20 minutes to bake these delicious rolls. It takes such a small amount of time and effort to make these amazing rolls. Nothing tastes better than homemade.

How Long Do These Homemade Rolls Last

Making homemade rolls taste much better than store bought. In addition, you know exactly what ingredients are in your rolls. This is great for anyone who is trying to stay away from artificial flavors and preservatives. Since these rolls do not have preservatives, they will last about 3 days. You want to make sure the rolls are stored in a freezer bag or other airtight container. Make sure they are stored at room temperature. Heat and humidity will cause the rolls to get moldy faster and storing them in the refrigerator will cause them to taste stale.

How Long Does Cinnamon Honey Butter Last

The great thing about this cinnamon honey butter is that it will last as long as normal butter will. We have kept our cinnamon honey butter for about 3 weeks in the refrigerator.

    How to Store Cinnamon Butter

Whenever I make cinnamon butter, I like to store it in the refrigerator. I know a lot of people who store their butter at room temperature and if you choose to store this butter at room temperature you can. Butter that is not stored in the refrigerator will not last as long as butter stored in the refrigerator.

    Ingredients in Homemade Dinner Rolls

    • 2 to 2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
    • 2 tablespoons sugar
    • 1 (2-1/4 tsp.) packet Fleischmann’s® RapidRise® Yeast
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 cup milk (whole, 2%, 1% OR skim)
    • 1/4 cup water
    • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine

    How to Make Homemade Rolls

Before you start, you want to make sure the yeast is not expired. When yeast is past its date, it will not rise correctly.

flour, sugar and salt in a bowl with yeast pakets

Combine together 3/4 cup flour with the sugar, dry yeast. and salt in a bowl.

    adding yeast to bowl

    Mix it together well.

milk, water and butter in a bowl

In another bowl, mix together the milk, water and butter. Microwave on high at 15-second increment. You want to have the milk mixture reach 120 – 130 degrees. It is best to use a thermometer to check the temperature of the milk mixture. If you do not have a thermometer, the water should be warm but not too hot to touch. If the milk mixture is too hot, it will kill the yeast. The mixture will be warm and the butter will not be melted all the way.
