We spent the day at Sesame Place on Sunday, and had a great time and while we were there we saw the Max and Ruby Musical Playdate show. Serenity has always loved Max and Ruby. Ever since she was very little. And all my kids have loved seeing their favorite character in person.

The show was so cute. The reinacted parts of the cartoons. Max received a makeover and it was Grandma’s birthday. It was great watching the kids all get excited as the characters on stage were dancing around, and Max was made up all silly. Right before Grandma came out, the kid got to tell if it was their birthday, and shout their ages. Grandma led the kids in a great exercise dance.

The show was the perfect amount of time, just about 30 minutes. Being in Sesame Place, there are so many things to do and see, that it can be very hard to spend too much time at a show. The kids get antsy because of all the rides and characters just right outside the stage area.

After the show, and Max’s nap, we went back to the Monster Rock Theater to go to a Meet and Greet where the girls were able to meet Max, Ruby, Grandma, and Louise. Serenity and Willow were able to go up to them and say hello, give them hugs and get their pictures taken. Willow was so funny. She had no fear at all, and ran right to them. It wasn’t until this year that Serenity would even go near a character without screaming. But Willow was all about getting right up there and giving them hugs and saying hello.

Sesame Place is having a series of shows just like these over the season. Lazy Town, Doodle Bops, Sprouts Weekend with Chica and Super Why, Strawberry Shortcake, Dan Zanes and Friends Concert, Jack Hannah and Caliou. You can see all the details and show dates on the Sesame Place website.
