This recipe is brought to you from DataRank and KC Masterpiece.

One thing my kids love is pizza. All kinds. But we do not often order it because it gets expensive. So I love to make pizza at home. While the kids could eat pizza every night for dinner, I like variety. We made BBQ chicken pizza few times and everyone enjoyed it. The girls and I went over to a friend’s house and she made pepperoni pull apart pizza. And the wheels started turning. After a few tries, my BBQ Chicken Pull Apart Pizza was born.

BBQ Chicken Pizza Pull Apart Bread

BBQ Chicken Pizza Pull Apart Bread

    Ingredients:
    1lb of chicken breast, diced
Approximately 1/2 cup of thick BBQ Sauce. I recommend KC Masterpiece
    2 cans of pizza dough
1 1/2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese
    1/2 pizza sauce

    Directions:
Start with your diced chicken in a bowl. Add enough BBQ sauce to cover the chicken. Feel free to use more or less BBQ Sauce than I do depending on your tastes. I really recommend a thick sauce like KC Masterpiece. Because you are not adding any barbecue sauce other than this, you really want it to stick to the chicken.

KC Masterpiece BBQ Sauce for my BBQ Chicken Pizza Pull apart breadSaute your chicken until fully cooked.

While the chicken is cooking, open the tubes of pizza dough (or roll out your own). Tear into balls. There is no wrong size. But the smaller they are the more sauce and chicken that gets in between them. Place into a bowl.

Add 1 cup of cheese and pizza sauce into the dough.

When the chicken is cooked, pour the chicken and the BBQ Sauce it cooked in, into the dough mixture.

Mix together well so that everything is well combined.Ready for the Oven, BBQ Chicken Pizza Pull apart bread

Pour everything into a casserole pan. For easier removal, grease the pan. My friend makes her pizza pull apart bread in a bundt pan. Either one works great. Add the remainder of the cheese on top. You can add extra BBQ sauce or ranch on top before the cheese.

Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.

I like to serve mine with a side of BBQ sauce and a side of ranch.

i have seen BBQ Pizza before but have always been fearful of it… Silly, sounding, right! BUT the sauce and BBQ mix has me scratching my head but then again… anything topped w lots of cheese is guaranteed to be good… right?

I am sure it is just as yummy with gluten free pizza dough. If you can’t find or make pizza dough, try a gluten free biscuit recipe. Should work just as well
