    We have been on a brownie kick lately. I mean we have been making brownies almost every day. While I LOVE brownies, we wanted to switch things up a little and create something new. Since we love Cookie Monster and have been making a lot of Cookie Monster Treats and thought, hey what about Cookie Monster Brownies. 

    Cookie Monster Treats

    I have been mentioning how much my daughter has always loved Cookie Monster. I think we have had it all over the years. Cookie Monster everything. Now as a way to make her smile, I can make Cookie Monster treats. I have shared with you the Cookie Monster Fudge and Cookie Monster Bark and now, Cookie Monster Brownies.

    Want a Cookie Monster treat that will anyone over This Cookie Monster fudge is easy to make, tastes amazing and is the perfect Cookie Monster treat
    The Cookie Monster Brownies actually uses premade mixes to make it a little easier to make these brownies fast. You can, of course, swap out the mixes for homemade brownies and cookie dough.

    Cookie Monster Brownie Ingredients 

    Brownies:
    • 15 double stuffed Oreos
    • 1 box of milk chocolate brownie mix, also eggs, oil, and water needed for the brownies
    • 1 package of pre-made chocolate chip cookie dough
    • cooking spray
    • 9×13 baking dish
    • parchment paper
     
    Frosting
    • 1 c unsalted butter, softened
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
    • 3 TBSP heavy whipping cream
    • 2 1/2 C powder sugar
    • 1/2 C crushed mini Oreos
    • sky blue gel food coloring Wilton food colors are the best ones to use. These are the only food coloring I use anymore, including in my slime.
     
    Ganache ingredients
    • 1/2 C semi sweet chocolate chips
    • 1/4 C heavy whipping cream
    • 1 TBSP light corn syrup
    • mini Oreos
    • mini chocolate chip cookies brownie in half
    • edible eyes
     
    Pro Tip: It is important that you have all of the ingredients or special items before you start on a recipe.
     
    It makes life easier and more enjoyable. I love to buy things on amazon market because I really hate dragging the kids out to the store.

    How to Make Cookie Monster Brownies

     
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees
     
    Take the baking dish and parchment paper and tear off enough parchment paper that fits the pan and comes up the sides
     
    Spray the parchment paper with pam and place the oreos along the bottom of the pan
     
    Take the brownie mix according to the box and then pour the mix over the oreos
     
    Take some raw cookie dough and place some scatted on the top of the batter and push down a bit. 
     
    Bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean
     
    Frosting Directions 
     
    Using a standing mixer, combine the butter, vanilla, heavy whipping cream and powder sugar and cream together until stiff peaks form
     
    Add in the crushed oreos
     
    Add in the blue gel food coloring 
     
    Frost cooled brownies
     
    Ganache directions
     
    Using a small pot, combine the chocolate chips and heavy whipping cream on medium heat, using a whisk to mix until combined and melted
     
    Set aside
     
    Add in the corn syrup and let it sit until thickened
     
    Drizzle the ganache over the cooled brownies and top with edible eyes, oreos and chocolate chip cookie pieces.
