Weight Watchers is changing in 2022? What are the new WW Changes going to be? Have you heard that Weight Watchers is changing their plan in 2022? If you are wondering what this means and how this will affect you, read on to see what we have learned.
WEIGHT WATCHERS 2022 CHANGES
Rumor has it that there are changes coming to Weight Watchers in 2022. Let’s note that Weight Watchers tweaks their plans about every 2 years, so a lot of us saw this coming. New clinical trials popping up and new data comes in, so Weight Watchers uses this information to tweak their plans in hope of helping more people lose weight easily.
In November of 2019, Weight Watchers started with the green, blue, and purple plans. This allowed people to follow a certain regiment for each plan. Changes can be worrisome, but people were able to adapt and continue their WW Journeys.
Since most of the WW changes allow us to expand and grow in a positive environment. Let’s dive into the new changes for 2022.
Weight Watchers Rebranded
In 2018, weight watchers made a failed attempt to rebrand themselves. They wanted to do this to become a “wellness that works” program. During this time, events cause Weight Watchers to lose some of their followers to other companies and diet plans like Keto and iTrackBites. The reason for this was because Weight Watchers was against the idea of consuming fats even healthy fats.
WW Focusing On Diabetic Health
As time ticks on, more and more rumors continue to surface. This new program will be even more customizable. This will include a plan for people who suffer from Diabetes and Insulin Resistance. It’s said that this WW program will allow you to enjoy more healthy fats and reduce your sugar intake. This will allow you to have a more low-carb lifestyle. In addition, it is said that WW wants to expand its partnerships with healthcare. This will include nutritional and behavioral science in its plans.
Healthy Snack Options For Weight Watchers
It looks like growing is Weight Watchers New Year Resolution. It’s said to be a plan for myWW to expand their snack line. The snack line is more for those looking for more convenience. Personally, snacks are my favorite, so why not enjoy them as a more healthy whole foods option. These new options, plans, and programs are begin designed to make day-to-day life a lot easier and sustainable. This will allow people on WW to have long-term health and wellness.
From Colored Plans To WW Personal Points?
It was on Instagram that an account by the name of @PandemicPounds uploaded a screenshot from the US Trademark website. This image shows that this new plan will be called Personal Points.
Instead of just one plan or the normal green, blue or purple plan, these new Personal Points Program will allow each person on their specific WW Journey to enjoy a more personalized program. Everyone is excited to see the new options they may have available. Could WW be making a plan more helpful for those who are Vegan or Vegetarian? Or will we just see the program stick with more whole, clean food options?
WW does its best to test its program to the best of its ability before releasing them to the public. We just hope that this new WW will be better and more improved to help each person achieve their goals.

Weight Watchers Brings In New Management
Hiring new workers allows companies to have a new perspective and bring in new ideas. It is now known that CEO and President Mindy Grossman will be stepping down at the start of 2022. Mindy is someone who helped launch the rebrand and shift to a digital-firm subscription model. Even though she is stepping down, we are intrigued to see what this entails for Weight Watchers moving forward. Right now it is not known who is to be the next successor.
More news shows that Oprah is going to continue to work with Weight Watchers/myWW. She has extended her contract deal to 2025!
Hesitant About Changes?
Nerves and Anticipation come with changes and can sometimes be scary and that’s okay!
Here is a video of Dee explaining how the new plans set for the future make her a little hesitant. She even goes in-depth to show us all the plans she has tried to lose weight. She is a truly inspiring person especially for those who struggle with weight loss.
In this video, Dee dives into PointsPlus and how it has helped her. In addition, she goes along to speak about how we are able to consume more “crap” food on those plans. It is important to note that it is good to take accountability which can be a lesson for many things. In this case, about Zero-point food.
iTrackBites
Dee also explains the benefits of iTrackBites and how this plan is super helpful. This plan is great for those looking for a budget-friendly program with little to no hassle.
What Are WW Meetings And Will They Stay?
The Pandemic brought heartache, struggle, and more through 2020-2021. This caused a burst of the Weight Watchers community looking for help and support right at home. WW meetings transferred to virtual which allowed over 90% of the WW members to go digital. This means that a very large amount of people are now doing virtual meetings.
MyWW is supposed to transfer back to in-person meetings in the future once everything begins to open back up fully. This will allow individuals to get back into the groove of getting in-person support.
The Pandemic sure caused a lot of problems for all sorts of companies from completely shutting down to going digital. At least for weight watchers the live/virtual Oprah Winfrey experiences allow them to stay alive through the chaos. This feature will continue into 2022 for those who need it.
Will The New Changes Cause Zero Point Foods To Vanish?
One thing on people’s minds lately is whether or not Weight Watchers will be removing their Zero-Point foods. This is concerning for many, but for now, nothing is confirmed and there is still hope. Changes have been made for the better in the WW programs throughout 2020 and 2021. Although, I think many of us enjoy the Zero-Point foods in our diet and want to keep them. If you are worried that WW will remove their Zero-Point foods, then check out the list below. This way you can save each plan’s Zero-Point foods:
Note: that even though these changes are possibly coming. You will always be in control of yourself and the decisions you make. Back in the day when Weight Watchers helped us build healthier eating habit with the use of the Good Health Guidelines, fats were a part of the program. At least two teaspoons of healthy fats (sunflower, safflower, olive, etc). While these guidelines have long been forgotten by the company, many still look at them as the foundation of a healthy eating plan.
