Asparagus is really a fantastic side dish to make. You can make it in a variety of ways and it works with so many different dishes.
If you are looking for a variety of different entrees to make with asparagus, I have a few suggestions which may become family favorites. Such as my Baked Haddock or my Easy Cod Recipe. If fish really isn’t your thing, my homemade Meatloaf may be just the ticket.

How To Trim Asparagus Spears
The easiest way to do it is to hold on the bottom of the spear and snap it off. Or if you prefer, lay the spears on a cutting board and cut off the woody part with a sharp knife. The woody part is the light part of the vegetable. Usually it snaps off pretty easily.
Ingredients
- Asparagus – make sure it’s as fresh as possible to get the best flavor.
- Olive oil – this will help the seasoning stick to the spears.
- Salt and black pepper – seasoning is always a must.
- Lemon – this ingredient will really help bring out the flavor of the vegetable.
How to Make Air Fryer Asparagus

Preheat air fryer to 390 degrees. Prepare the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray.
Drizzle asparagus with olive oil, salt and pepper. Toss together to evenly coat.
Place asparagus in a single layer on air fryer basket.
Cook for 6 to 8 minutes.
Top asparagus with juice from lemon.
