Beauty and the Beast Chocolate Fudge Cupcakes Recipe
Whether you are excited for Beauty and The Beast too, coming to theaters in November 2021, or just want cupcake that is absolutely beautiful with a rich flavor, you can not go wrong with this fudge filled dessert recipe.
Can I Use This Chocolate Cupcake Recipe to Make a Cake?
You can make cake instead. You would bake the cake as the directions say and then you would frost the cake. Place the candy roses along the top of the cake. Try to place the roses so that each slice wil have a rose.
How Do I Make Candy Roses?
You can make candy roses using buttercream frosting and a piping bag. You can also make them out of fondant. This is by talking small amounts of fondant and pressing it into petal shapes. Then you place the petals together. In this case I am using Wilton candy roses. I like these because they are hard and can easily be moved from place to place, making it easy and less time consuming to make these Disney cupcakes.
Can I Use a Homemade Cupcake Recipe
You can use a homemade recipe. These cupcakes were made for a special occasion and time was short. That is why I used a cake mix. You can easily swap the cake mix for your favorite chocolate cake recipe.
How to Store These Beauty and the Beast Cupcakes
Whenever you are using a basic cupcake recipe, ones that does not have fresh fruit or high dairy content, you want to store them at room temperature. Whenever you have a perishable frosting, like cream cheese, you want to place them in the refrigerator. So in this case, these cupcakes are best if they are not stored in the refrigerator. This helps the cupcakes taste the best. While the refrigerator does help things last longer, for cupcakes, it causes them to taste dried out and stale.
Keep the cupcakes in an airtight container or use a cupcake holder. This protects the cupcakes from getting stale and helps them to last for up to a week.
How to Add the Fudge Filling to Cupcakes
You will want an injector to add the fudge to the center. This is the easiest way to do it. Press a hole into the center and this creates the filling well. The injector sucks up the fudge filling and then you you press it into the well and then press it in. You can also spoon the filling into the well. It is a bit messier but it isn’t hard to do. I prefer the injector for simplicity and less mess.
Variations to this Recipe
There are easy ways to change these Beauty and the Beast cupcakes. You can add additional flavors to the cupcakes. You can add different flavored extracts to the cupcakes. Mint works well with the chocolate and the fudge. Another option is to add chocolate chips. This adds even more chocolate flavor. You can add other types of chips as well. Anything that goes well with chocolate and fudge is going to be a hit with these.
HOW MUCH DOES THIS RECIPE COST TO MAKE
As of today, based on the prices at Kroger and Walmart (for the sugar rose decorations), this recipe costs about $0.91 per serving with the rose decorations and about $0.31 without, and a total of $22.34 with the rose decorations and about $7.43 without to make the whole recipe. This recipe makes 24 servings.
