How to Make Chicken Satay at home
You will need to soak the wooden skewers in a bowl of water while you are preparing the chicken.
In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, hot sauce, maple syrup, lime juice, garlic, and fresh ginger.
Season with salt and pepper and then, add the chicken strips. Cover and store in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight. Turn chicken at least once while marinating.
There are 3 ways that you can cook this chicken. You can cook the marinated chicken on an outdoor grill, an indoor grill or in the oven.
If the chicken is being cooked over an outdoor grill, the chicken will need to be cooked for about 4-6 minutes on each side.
If the chicken is being cooked on an indoor grill or in the oven it will need to be cooked for 5-7 on each side.
Remove from heat and serve immediately with the peanut dipping sauce on the side. Enjoy!
