Halloween Witch from Upcycled Gain Container
I love making things with upcycled materials. I have made a similar design using a Tide container, Decorative Pumpkin from Upcycled Tide Container, and it came out so cute. This Halloween witch is great to use sitting next to the pumpkin. you can use it to decorate outside or around the house.
How to get labels off laundry detergent bottles
Remove the label from the laundry pods container by soaking in hot water, scraping, and then using GooGone to remove completely. You can also use a heat gun to warm the label but the ease of this option varies based on the brand. For instance, I found using a heat gun to be easy on Gain containers but difficult on Tide containers.
What paint sticks to plastic bottles
Since you are using a Gain container, the container is already green, like the color of the witch. If you are using a different container, you will want to use green paint to make the color of the witch. In that case, you will want to use green spray paint or use acrylic paint. These paints will stick to the container but water-based paints like finger paints will not stick. If you have trouble getting the paints to stick, try rubbing the container with fine-grain sandpaper. This will rough up the surface and help the paint to stick.
How can I decorate using these Variations for decorating
If you do not want to print the witch face template, you can also paint it on. This is a fun way to make the project last longer. Kids will love adding their own touches to the witch’s face.
