    • White granulated sugar
    • Egg yolk
    • Vanilla extract
    • All purpose Flour
    • Baking powder
    • Salt
    • Red sanding sugar
    • Hershey’s kisses

    🍳 How to Make Sugar Cookie Thumbprint with Hershey Kiss

    Cream the softened butter and sugar together in a large bowl of a stand mixer. Beat in the room temperature egg yolks and vanilla.  

    Mix the dry ingredients to form a flour mixture and then add to the wet ingredients. Mix on medium speed until just combined.

    Make dough balls, either by hand or using a cookie scoop, and roll balls in the sanding sugar.

    Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet, then let cool slightly for a few minutes on a cooling rack.

    Add a Hersey Kiss to the center of the warm cookies.

    Hint: If your Hershey Kisses are melting, try taking them out of the fridge before you start baking. This will help them stay in shape as they bake.

    • Stand Mixer

    Ingredients
      

    • 10 tbsp. butter softened ( 1 stick )
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 2 egg yolks room temp
    • 1 tsp. vanilla
    • 1½ cups flour
    • ¾ tsp. baking powder
    • ¼ tsp. salt
    • 24 Hershey’s kisses
    • Sanding sugar red, or color of choice

    Directions
     

    • Preheat oven to 350.
    • Line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
    • In a bowl of a stand mixer, cream together butter and sugar.
    • Add in the egg yolks and vanilla and beat until incorporated.
    • Add flour, baking powder, and salt, and mix until just combined.
    • Roll the dough into balls slightly bigger than a tablespoon.
    • In a small bowl pour out your red sprinkles not the bowl
    • Roll each ball of dough in the sanding sugar.
    • Place each ball on your baking sheet.
    • Bake 8-10 minutes.
    • Let cool 5 minutes after removing from the oven.
    • Now put a Hershey kiss in the center of each cookie.
