While I don’t have an alcoholic drink often, there are times when I want a great cocktail recipe for a special occasion, like a girls night in or a get together. Sometimes, I want a cocktail that reminds of something I could out as a dessert cocktail at a restaurant. That is how this recipe came into existence. I wanted something that I could have when my friend and I were getting together and we hadn’t seen each other in a while. The Cookies and Cream Frozen Cocktail is like taking a frozen mudslide and kicking the decadence level up a few notches.
What I love about this simple frozen drink recipe, it doesn’t take 15 different ingredients and 5 very expensive alcohols. Because honestly, who has the time or money for that. This is a simple drink that I can make with things I have at home. Since Kahlua is one of my favorites, we always have it around. Adding all of these ingredients together and this drink will have you in dessert cocktail heaven and chances are, everything except the Kahlua is already in your cabinet.
Cookies and Cream Frozen Cocktail
Ingredients:
12 cookies
2 cups of milk (You can also use soy milk, almond milk or use The Best Oat Milk Recipe if that is what you use)
2 cups of Kahlua (or as desired)
1 cup of ice
½ cup of chocolate syrup
Directions:
Add cookies to a food processor and pulse until finely crushed.
To a blender, add in milk, Kahlua, syrup and ice. Blend until smooth.
Pour mixture into a pitcher, and when ready to serve, add in crushed cookies.
Serve in a mason jar or for a fancier look, use a glass and add chocolate around the rim.
Notes:
Makes for 3-4 servings or 2 mason jars
Personally, I would not make these ahead of time because I like them frozen.
