Kids can create their own tropical scene with this fun Build a Coconut Tree printable. The activity includes separate palm leaves, coconuts, trunk pieces, and other parts that children can cut out and assemble to make their own coconut tree. Pair it with lessons about tropical plants, beaches, islands, or different types of trees for an easy hands-on learning activity. Finished coconut trees can be displayed on a classroom bulletin board, added to a summer craft collection, or used as part of a colorful tropical scene.

Print the Free Build A Coconut Tree Craft Printable pages and choose either the colored version or the black-and-white version. Have children carefully cut out the palm leaves, coconuts, trunk pieces, and other parts, then arrange everything before gluing the tree together. If you use the black-and-white version, let kids color and decorate the pieces before cutting and assembling them.

Once the coconut tree is complete, encourage kids to create a tropical background around it. They can draw sand, ocean waves, sunshine, clouds, tropical flowers, or even animals around their finished tree. You can also combine several finished Build a Coconut Tree crafts to create a tropical classroom or homeschool display.
