    How to Make Festive Reindeer Chow

    REINDEER CHOW

    Our Reindeer Puppy Chow recipe, or muddy buddy recipe, is such an easy festive treat to make. One of the great things about this recipe is that it’s made for a crowd. Everyone can munch on this yummy treat while enjoying spending time together.

    If you are looking for other easy Holiday appetizers that your friends and family will love, I have a few recipes that I think you will enjoy.

    Like my Christmas Crack Toffee. It’s crunchy and sweet and a great crowd pleaser. Another easy recipe is my Peppermint Bark. This is a quick recipe that goes together quickly with just a few ingredients. And last, but certainly not least is my Christmas Toffee Bars!

    HOW TO STORE REINDEER CHOW

    If you happen to have any of this delicious Reindeer Crack left, make sure to put it in an air-tight container. If it’s properly stored, it will last 2 to 3 weeks.

    IS IT CALLED PUPPY CHOW, MUDDY BUDDIES, OR REINDEER CHOW?

    Honestly, it can be called any of these names. When you hear each one, they are all talking about the same thing.

    WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS FOR REINDEER CHOW?

    All three of these snacks have the same base to them; which is peanut butter, chocolate, and powdered sugar.

    INGREDIENTS

    • Rice Chex cereal
    • Semisweet chocolate chips
    • Creamy peanut butter
    • Powdered sugar
    • Cocoa powder
    • Christmas M&M’s
    • Pretzel twists

    HOW TO MAKE REINDEER CHEX MIX

    Place the cereal in a large bowl.

    In a medium bowl, combine the chocolate chips and peanut butter.

    Microwave the chocolate mixture for 30 second intervals stirring each time. Continue until melted. Stir until smooth.

    Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal and use a spatula to gently toss the cereal in the chocolate until completely coated.

    Place the powdered sugar and cocoa powder inside a resealable gallon sized plastic bag.

    Add the chocolate coated cereal. Seal, then shake until cereal is coated in the powdered sugar mix.

    Pour the cereal out evenly on a sheet of parchment paper on a baking tray.

    Allow them to cool completely and until dry.

    In a large bowl combine the cereal, M&M’s, and pretzel twists.

    Ingredients
      

    • 6 cups Rice Chex Cereal

    • 12 oz. Bag of Christmas M & Ms
    • 2 cup Pretzel bites
