This Turkey Avocado BLT is what a sandwich should be. It’s thick, hearty, flavorful, full of bacon, juicy tomatoes, and roasted turkey. Plus, the addition of the avocado and mayo, really takes this sandwich to a whole new level.
Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with the basic BLT, but adding the avocado and turkey, really changes things up a bit.
This sandwich will be perfect for lunch, dinner, a picnic, or on road trips. Just pack everything separately in a cooler and assemble once you are ready to stop for a bite to eat.
Of course, the sides you choose for this are equally important. Some great ideas are a Tomato and Mozzarella Salad, Broccoli Cheddar Soup, or this yummy Amish Broccoli Salad.

🧾Substitutions
- Bread – you can use whatever your family loves such as sourdough, ciabatta, multigrain, or regular white.
- Mayo – you can use lite or regular.
- Bacon – we used Applewood Smoked, however, you can use what you like.
- Avocados – if your family doesn’t like these, feel free to omit.
📖Variations
- Chicken – you can swap out the turkey for chicken.
- Pickles – add some pickles for an extra crunch.
- Toasted bread – I think this is what really sets off a BLT.
- Wrap – make a wrap instead of a sandwich.
- Salad – omit the bread, add more lettuce, and make it into a Turkey and Avocado BLT Salad.
