St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner. The most festive place to celebrate this holiday would be in Dublin, Ireland but I’m pretty sure most of you won’t be traveling there on St. Patrick’s Day so I am here to share some other kid-friendly ways you can celebrate St. Patrick’s Day close to home.

We try to make some St. Patrick’s Day crafts every year. There are so many different types of St. Patrick’s Day crafts but these are some of our favorites.
Have a Craft Day
There are so many other options for St. Patrick’s Day Crafts. From felt projects of shamrocks and rainbows to paper cards that tell of funny St. Patrick’s Day or Irish themed jokes. You and the kids can gather up those craft supplies and enjoy a fun-filled day of making up many rainbows, a pot of gold and other St. Patrick’s Day crafts found on Pinterest.

Some schools have an upside down classroom with chairs turned up and things hanging from the walls as a means to show the kids those pesky Leprechauns visited overnight. Try to have some tricks in your homes, such as green toilet water and things all out of place to have some fun with the kids.
Find a Local Parade
If you live near a location where they’ll be hosting a St. Patrick’s Day Parade, New York City, and Chicago are the two top places, then head off with the kids to enjoy a parade. In Chicago, they even dye the river green in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day.

Make treasure boxes with your kids and fill them with some goodies. Then go hide them on the kids and create a little map that helps them go around locating these treasure boxes, taking only one thing out each time they find a box.
