25 Things to Do With Ramen Noodles that aren’t soup. Forget everything you thought you knew about ramen noodles. While they’re often associated with quick and easy dorm room meals or budget-friendly college days, this simple noodle dish has the potential to be so much more. With a little creativity and some fresh ingredients, you can turn a simple bowl of ramen into a gourmet masterpiece.

Things to Do With Ramen Noodles

I love ramen. It is a guilty pleasure for me. Ramen in a cup, Ah, it is a true favorite. I started making homemade ramen noodles in a cup, with a soft-boiled egg, green onions, and sesame seeds.

homemade instant ramen noodles in a cup

One of the best parts about working with instant ramen noodles is their versatility. Whether you’re craving something savory, spicy, or sweet, there’s a ramen recipe out there to satisfy your taste buds. And with the addition of fresh vegetables, protein, and flavorful sauces, you can create a meal that’s as nutritious as it is delicious.

A great thing about ramen noodles is that they are inexpensive. While they are often thought of as unhealthy, that mostly has to do with the seasoning packet. These ramen recipes use noodles but do not use seasoning. The flavor packet is full of sodium and preservatives which you do not want in your meals.

    Simple Ways to Upgrade Ramen

So if you want to upgrade your pack of ramen, but want to keep it as a simple ramen recipe, you can just add a few simple things. This will take store bought, inexpensive ramen to the next level. To make these as an easy ramen noodle recipe, you will use the seasoning packet.

    • Cook the noodles in chicken broth. Add cooked chicken breast. I like using rotisserie chicken to make it simple.
    • Add a splash of coconut milk. This will make the ramen broth creamy.
    • Sauteed veggies. Adding extra veggies will make your give extra flavor to the ramen noodle soup.
    •  If you want to skip the ramen packets, you can season the ramen using sweet soy sauce, garlic powder, or fresh garlic,

Using Ramen in Place of Noodles

The first way to things to do with ramen noodles that isn’t soup is to replace the noodles in any recipe with the ramen packet. I have made tuna noodle casserole using ramen noodles in a pinch. The cooked noodles are added where the recipe calls for the regular noodles. Remember that ramen takes much less time to cook and will become mushy if baked too long.
