    Remember the days of coming in from the snow after playing all afternoon or snuggled together with the family on the couch watching Christmas movies? There was usually the best snack ever involved. Hot Chocolate and Cookies. There is just something about the sweet combination that just brings back those happy memories. These Hot Chocolate Cookies combine all that deliciousness into one sweet chewy cookie. Peppermint hot chocolate cookies will be a go-to treat for any special time.

    Chewy Hot Chocolate Peppermint Cookies

    There are two things that I live for: Chewy Cookies and Hot Chocolate.  So, why would I not be crazy about these chewy hot chocolate peppermint cookies?  I can not see a single reason why these chewy hot chocolate cookies wouldn’t be at the top of any Christmas cookie list. These cookies are perfect for a Christmas cookie exchange or just because you want to have a comfort food treat.

    If you are not a huge fan of peppermint, don’t add the candy canes. That turns these chewy hot chocolate peppermint cookies into chewy hot chocolate cookies. It is easy to enjoy these chewy hot chocolate cookies with a glass of milk or with a nice cup of hot cocoa.

    Best Hot Chocolate Peppermint Cookies

    The next time you want to have a delicious Christmas cookie, make a big batch of the best hot chocolate peppermint cookies. I recommend you make a double batch, maybe even hide some for yourself because once everyone else has a taste of the best hot chocolate peppermint cookies ever, everyone will be taking them.

    How to Make Hot Chocolate Cookies with Marshmallows

    Ingredients

    1 c unsalted sweet cream butter, melted
    2 c dark brown sugar
    1 c white sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp vanilla
    4 c flour
    1/2 C cocoa powder
    1 tsp baking soda
    1 tsp baking powder
    1 bag of chocolate chips
    1/2 of a small bag of mini marshmallows

    Directions

    Melt the butter and set aside.
    Mix in the sugars and stir until dissolved
    Mix in the eggs, one at a time until fully mixed in
    Mix in vanilla
    Stir in the flour, baking powder, and baking soda
    Mix in the chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, and crushed candy canes
    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
    Take a small ice cream scoop and scoop some batter onto the baking sheet
    Bake for 8-10 minutes
