Brownie Waffle Recipe: A Perfect Treat
Every year for the kids’ birthdays they get to pick whatever kind of treat they want. They are not really caked fans so they pick something else. We have done cookie cakes, ice cream cakes, funnel cake, funny cake, and deep-fried Oreos.
This year right before Serenity’s birthday, we received a waffle maker for review. We really loved it and made our favorite pumpkin pie waffles. In the manual that came with it, there was a recipe for Brownie Waffles. As soon as Serenity heard the recipe, she knew that is what she wanted.
Brownie Waffles Ingredients
- Unsweetened chocolate
- Butter
- Eggs
- Salt
- Sugar
- Vanilla
- Flour
- Milk
How to Make Brownies in a Waffle Maker
Preheat the waffle maker.
Place the chocolate and butter in a saucepan and melt over low heat. Once melted, set it aside and let it cool.
In a bowl, beat the eggs and salt together until they are a light lemon color. Add in the sugar and vanilla.
Then fold in the cooled chocolate sauce.
Spoon about a cup into a 4 waffle waffle-maker. If you are using a differently sized waffle maker, use enough batter for the size machine. Cook for the time indicated for your waffle maker.
Serve right away. You can serve these brownie waffles with a little powder sugar. We served it with vanilla ice cream, a drizzle of chocolate, whipped cream and of course a cherry. I was concerned it would be too sweet, but the ice cream added just the right amount of sweetness, but not to make it sickeningly sweet.
