    Cheshire Cat Inspired Cocktail

Have you heard that there is going to be another Alice in Wonderland, ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS, coming out this May. I am so excited. I have loved Alice in Wonderland since I was a kid. And now that I am all grown up, I am loving that there is a grown up version directed by Tim Burton. There is something to be said for a magical place filled with crazy characters and unusual rules. Who does not fantasize about being in a crazy place like that, and getting away from the everyday of life?

Of course, everyone has their favorite characters. Mine has always been and will always be, the Cheshire Cat. Dating all the way back to the cartoon. I love how he is a bit crazy, ok, a lot crazy and you can never quite tell if he is trying to help or hinder Alice. While he does help from time to time, he also tends to get her into spaces that can be a bit hard to get out of, especially when it comes to the Red Queen. The Queen of Hearts is always trying to get at Alice. In the end, it turns out well, but that is the end.

ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS cocktail

If you plan on decorating your glasses, it adds a fun twist. It adds a sense of getting a special drink. It is a lot easier to create this effect than it seems.

You will need 1 small plate or bowl to decorate your glassware. The plate or bowl will need to be large enough to fit the top of the glass. Pour out some of your sanding sugar into the plate or bowl.
Now cut a lemon in half and rub the juice along the rim of the glassware
Then take your glassware and dip it in the sugar – set to the side. If you want to use less sugar to create the effect, try to tip the glass and rotate it.

You can also use How to Make Simple Syrup instead of the lemon.
