    Easter Colored Deviled Eggs

    I think one of my favorite things about making deviled eggs is there is really not right or wrong way to make them. You can make the filling with sandwich spread or you can use the classic recipe that uses mustard and relish. It’s really up to you.

    Ingredients Needed

    • Hard boiled eggs
    • Fat free mayo
    • Mustard
    • Garlic powder 
    • Salt 
    • Pepper
    • Paprika 
    • Food Coloring
    • White Vinegar

    How to Make Easter Colored Deviled Eggs

    Below is a brief breakdown of the steps below. To get the full steps, refer to the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post.

    Step 1: Add the eggs into a large pot and cover with just enough water to completely cover the eggs.

    Step 2: Once the water is at a rolling boil, remove the pan from the heat and cover. Let the pan sit for 10 – 15 minutes.

    Step 3: When the eggs are done, add the eggs immediately into a large bowl that is full of ice cubes and cold water.

    Step 4: Allow the eggs to sit in the cold ice bath for 15 minutes or until they have completely cooled down.

    Step 5: Peel the eggs. Remove the yolk from each egg and add it into a small bowl.

    Step 6: Decide how many different colors of eggs you want to make. Then set out the number of bowls you will need based on how many different colors you want. Add water and vinegar to each bowl as well as food coloring.

    Step 7: Drop each half of an egg into the colored water. When the egg has reached the color you want, remove it from the water and let it dry on a paper towel.

    Step 8: Repeat the process until all of the eggs are done.

    Make the Filling

    Step 1. Smash the egg yolks in a bowl and then add the mayonnaise, mustard and seasonings.

    Step 2. Mix together well.

    Step 2: Refrigerate until ready to serve.
