    Lemon Glazed Strawberry Donuts

You can enjoy these strawberry doughnuts without feeling guilty because they’re so light and fluffy. The glaze is sweetened with a powdered sugar substitute, so it tastes amazing while not killing your points. And the best part – this recipe only takes 20 minutes from start to finish!

I’m really excited about this recipe because I wanted an easy strawberry donut recipe that wasn’t too high in Weight Watchers points. I love me some donuts, like Weight Watchers Baked Cinnamon Sugar Donuts, How to Make Chocolate Glazed Chocolate Donuts Recipe, The Best Baked Lemon Weight Watchers Donuts Recipe, and Weight Watchers Donut Hole Recipe, so I needed a way to have a strawberry donut that wouldn’t throw me off track.

Are baked doughnuts as good as fried donuts?

I personally think that they’re just as good! WhileI love traditional fried donuts, my weight loss and healthy eating plan does not. I need to have these WW desserts on hand because I need my sweets. So I have to find low point options, like these lemon glazed strawberry donuts.

    Are Baked Donuts Healthy?

I don’t know if I would say that the baked donuts are healthy. I mean, they are low fat and low sugar. They are also low in points. However, they do not really offer much in nutrition. I would say these are a better choice than traditional versions. That being said, I certainly eat these lemon strawberry doughnuts for breakfast and as a way to start my day.

How to freeze or store for later

These strawberry donuts are best when served fresh, but you can store them in an airtight container for up to three days. Just make sure they’re kept in a cool place and not exposed to too much heat or humidity.

You can also freeze them so that you can have them on hand whenever you want them. I like to take the extras that will not get eaten on the first day and move them to the freezer. Then I simply bring out one or 2 as needed. My donuts do not go bad and at the same time I have treats to stay on track.

Are lemon strawberry donuts good for breakfast?

We all know that we shouldn’t eat donuts for breakfast. But we all know that we love eating them for breakfast. So while doughnuts are never going to be considered a healthy food for breakfast, they are always going to be a breakfast. So if you are going to reach for a doughnut for breakfast, reach for these low point doughnuts and stay on track.

Do these Donuts Need a Glaze

While these strawberry donuts don’t actually need a glaze, they can be eaten just the way that they are, I love adding a lemon glaze on top. The lemon glaze takes these donuts from delicious to incredible. So while it can be eaten without, why not try it.

    Fresh or Frozen Strawberries

Fresh strawberries are best in this recipe. It will give you the best texture for the strawberries. However, if you only have frozen strawberries, you can use them. Let them thaw completely and then pat them dry.

Can I Use Lemon Juice Concentrate

You can use lemon juice concentrate in this recipe. The concentrate is a stronger flavor than using a fresh lemon so just add the lemon juice concentrate slowly. When you get a strong enough lemon taste, you can add water to thin the glaze to the desired consistency.

How Many Weight Watchers Points in Lemon Strawberry Donuts

These doughnuts are made light because of using sugar substitute. This makes these donuts something you can have on a more regular occasion rather than something you should eat often. When using the light butter and the sugar substitute, these WW snacks come in at WW 2 smartpoints per donut on all plans. Whether you are eating these Weight Watchers donuts for breakfast, snack or dessert at 2 points a piece for a full size treat, these are something to enjoy.
