Shamrock St Patrick's Day Cookies Recipe
St. Patrick's Day cookies are great for celebrating at home, in the classroom, or for a St. Patrick's Day party. While these Shamrock cookies are easy to make, it looks like a complicated dessert. I like to serve these cookies as part of our St. Patrick's Day celebration with Irish Chicken and Dumplings Stew, Non Alcoholic St. Patrick's Day Punch and Irish Flag Parfait - Fruit and Yogurt Parfait.
How do You Make Shamrock Cookies Without a Cookie Cutter?
These cookies are perfect for when you want something that will look fantastic but doesn't take much skill. You won't need a cookie cutter for these, but you will need a Shamrock Oreo Mold. These St. Patrick's Day cookies are made using Oreos and melting chocolate that you place in the cookie mold. That covered the cookies perfectly and creates the shamrock cookie part. By alternating the colored chocolate, you are also making the different colored layers which adds a wow factor to these cookies.
How do You Decorate Shamrock Cookies?
While you can keep it simple, by just using the green and white or any variation of colors, I like to make the layer look with these cookies. I think it just adds a layer of specialness. It is so simple to do this because you are only adding different layers of the colored chocolate.
If you wanted to add even more to these cookies, you can add things like special St. Patrick's Day sprinkles or green sanding sugar.
