Easy White Chicken Chili
White chili, which is made with chicken instead of hamburger and tomatoes, is a great filling dinner that is inexpensive to make. It is also easy to make because it is a dump recipe. What does a dump recipe mean? It means that all of the ingredients are dumped into the slow cooker or crock pot and then you set the temperature and forget it. It is that simple.
What to serve with the best white chicken chili
I love to serve some sort of bread when I make chicken chili. I will usually make fresh cornbread when we have chili. However if I do not have that, homemade garlic bread or rolls are a great choice too. Salad always makes a nice side dish because it is sort of like soup and salad. I top my chili with cheddar cheese.
How long does it take to make chicken chili in the slow cooker
Making chicken chili in the crockpot can be set to low for 4 to 6 hours. It can also be made in the slow cooker on high for about 3 hours.
How long does chicken chili last in the fridge
When storing chicken chili in the refrigerator, make sure to store it in an airtight container. Chicken chili will stay fresh in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Can you freeze white bean chicken chili
I love to freeze chicken chili, or any kind of chili actually. When I make white bean chicken chili, I make a double batch and freeze half of it for a freezer meal. I like to store my chili in a freezer bag. Make sure the bag or container does not have air in it while freezing. If you are using an airtight container, put plastic wrap over the chili before adding the lid. This helps to prevent freezer burn. Chicken chili stays good in the freezer for up to 5 months.
What is the Seasoning Used in a White Chicken Chili Seasoning Recipe
When I am making this recipe, this is the white chicken chili seasoning I use. This is the combination I have found that brings out the best flavor in the chili. You can certainly change things around to have it taste the way you enjoy it.
