How to Make Hash Brown Casserole
Step 1: Prepare your baking dish and preheat the oven.
Step 2: Thoroughly cook the sausage and after draining it, set it aside.
Step 3: In a small bowl, whisk together the spices, eggs, and milk.
Step 4: In the skillet you used for the sausage, cook the hash browns.
Step 5: On top of the cooked hash browns, add the sausage on top then the egg mixture.
Step 6: Sprinkle cheese generously all over the top.
Step 7: Bake.

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey sausage
- 24 oz. frozen shredded hash browns
- 8 eggs large
- 2 c almond milk or use The Best Oat Milk Recipe
- 2 c shredded cheddar cheese fat free
- 1/2 t salt
- 1/2 t pepper
- 1/2 t onion powder
- 1/2 t garlic powder
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375.
- Spray a 9×13 casserole dish with cooking oil and set aside
- Using a large skillet, cook the sausage until no longer pink, drain, and set aside (we had leftover in the freezer, so ours was already cooked in the in-process photos)
- In a medium size bowl, combine the eggs, milk and spices and whisk together.
- Using the same skillet, brown the hash browns.
- Press the hash browns into the casserole dish.
- Sprinkle the cooked sausage onto the top of the hash browns.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the sausage.
- Sprinkle the cheese evenly on top of the mixture.
- Bake in your oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the eggs are firm and the hash browns are golden brown. Remove and allow to cool slightly before cutting.
