Do I Use Flour or Corn Tortillas?

I am using flour tortillas. I prefer the texture to corn, but you can swap the flour for corn if you prefer. It changes the nutrition count but that is the only change it causes in the recipe.

What Goes with Breakfast Taquitos?

For most people this will be considered a complete breakfast. If you want to make sure you have vegetables in your breakfast, you can add sautéed vegetables like peppers or spinach to your taquitos or pair this healthy breakfast idea with fresh fruit.

Can These Be Made in the Oven

You can easily make these breakfast taquitos in the oven. You will make the taquitos the same way but you will bake them in the oven. Typically this is in a 400 degree oven for about 7 minutes. Since the food inside of the taquitos are cooked, you are only browning the tortilla and getting it nice and crispy.

How to Reheat Breakfast Taquitos

Some people like to reheat their taquitos in the microwave. While this is an option, I personally like to have mine crispy. I will usually toss them back into the oven for a few minutes or I will toast them in a frying pan on the stove.

Add tortillas to the microwave for 20 seconds. This softens them and makes it easier to roll them. On a flat surface, top a tortilla with 2 tablespoons of the skillet mixture. Top with a sprinkle of cheese. Roll tortilla tightly and place in the baking dish. Brush with melted butter. Repeat until remaining tortillas are filled.

Pre-heat Air Fryer to 350° for 1 minute. Bake for 3 minutes and turn, and bake for an additional 2-3 minutes or until tortillas are golden brown and crispy.
