There are a few steps when it comes to making these cookies. It isn’t hard but to get the look, you must follow the steps. With the 12 cookies, you will do 6 of the cookies orange and 6 of the cookies white.
Melt the green chocolate in a small bowl. Add it to the shamrock center of the molds. Chill the molds for 10 minutes to harden the chocolate.
Melt the orange candy. Cover the base of the mold with the chocolate. Place an Oreo on top of the chocolate. Add orange chocolate over the cookie.
Line a cookie sheet with wax or parchment paper. Once chilled, carefully pop the cookies out of their molds and place them on the lined cookie sheet. Melt the white chocolate chips. Dip the orange Oreo cookies halfway into the melted white chocolate. Place it back on the lined baking sheet for 15 minutes to allow the white chocolate to harden.
Dip the bottoms of each orange and white Oreo cookie into the melted green chocolate to create the 3 colors and place them back sheet to harden.
Repeat the process to make the white-topped shamrock cookies.
Hint: If the chocolate gets too thick, you can add a few drops of vegetable oil to thin it out.

💭Tip for Making the Perfect Good Luck Charm Cookies
- Be sure to pull the Oreo out of the melted chocolate right away so it doesn’t get too soft and fall apart.
- Have all your ingredients ready before you begin melting, as candy melts will harden quickly and you don’t want it to cool while you are working.
- Don’t be afraid to add a bit more chocolate if needed.
- Don’t forget to add decorations before the chocolate sets, otherwise, it won’t stick.
